fun in the sun (done classically)

Top: Smart Set
Shorts: H&M
Purse: Michael Kors
Shoes: Toms
Watch: Betsey Johnson

I don't know about you guys, but for me there is nothing better than putting on a pair of high waisted shorts in the summertime. These lovely shorts only cost me 20$ at H&M and I'd say it was totally worth it because they are so WEARABLE. They can go with lots of different colored shirts, and maybe even mixed with a pattern if you're daring enough. I was feeling laid back when I put this outfit on, so I glammed it up with my new glitter Toms! Let me know what you think, I enjoy your feedback :)

dress to impress

Blouse: Jacob
Skirt: Banana Republic
Tights: Zara
Pumps: Steve Madden
Bag: Michael Kors
Jewelry: Ben Moss pearl choker, Betsey Johnson watch, makeupbybella chain link bracelet

As I mentioned in my last post, I had an interview with Holt Renfrew on Saturday and they offered me the job!!!!!!!!! I will be a sales associate in the jewelry department at the Vancouver location so don't forget to come visit me ;). I'm really happy because I'm so freshly graduated and I already found my dream job! I've wanted to work at Holts for a really long time so achieving this is a dream come true. Now moving on to the outfit. As I'm sure you've noticed, I have a very clean, classic style. This probably comes from the fact that Audrey Hepburn has been my inspiration foreeeeeever. Nonetheless, when you go for an interview you should dress the way the store dresses. Let's say you have an interview at H&M, so your clothing better be colorful and very trendy. Because my interview was at Holts, I went for something conservative and classy (and I think I looked damn awesome!!) and maybe that's why they offered me the job on the spot!! Hope you guys had a good weekend and talk to you soon!

Fun in the... Sun?!

Blazer: H&M
Top: Winners
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Nine West
Bag: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Etsy: makeupbybella

The weather here in Vancouver has been sadly deceiving these past few days. I haven't had to bundle up in a blazer in at least a month, and it didn't feel good doing it, believe me. On a higher note, I had an interview with Holt Renfrew yesterday and they offered me the job on the spot!! I am quite the happy girl. Tune in on tomorrow for tips on what to wear to an interview!! Thanks for all your support. Don't forget to follow me on instagram: @pinkandpolished :)

mix & match

Top: Fancy Boutique
Camisole: Jacob
Leggings: Aritzia
Clutch: BCBG MaxMara
Flats: Nine West

I feel like my goal as a fashionista is to put pieces together that normal people wouldn't. I like to mix girly pieces with not so girly pieces. It gives me a more edgier look that I feel is necessary to brand myself. Don't get me wrong, I love my feminine outfits, but there is something about a "bad ass" feel that I love. Maybe I'm just crazy. Have a good weekend people!!

I wear my sunglasses at night

Top: Winners (really old, and I mean aaaaancient haha)
Shorts: H&M
Sunglasses: Van Blogger Sale - The Doctors Closet
Shoes: Tory Burch
Bag: Michael Kors
Nails: Essie - Lapiz of Luxury

So, to be honest this outfit is a sad misinterpretation for what it could have been. I didn't realize there would be an opportunity to take photos yesterday evening, so I didn't put together my best outfit. Hopefully you don't mind my casualness but this could be much better with some arm candy and a tan don't you think? ;) Oh and the middle photo is my boyfriend Matt and I. (Isn't he cute?) On another note, I went shopping today and found lots of goodies to show you in my future posts!! Yay :)

Chromasia Fashion Show

So as I mentioned in my previous post, I graduated from John Casablancas fashion program on Tuesday evening. We had our grad fashion show, titled "Chromasia." The thought process behind this was everything pop culture meets street style meets color blocking. Chromasia means the hue of ones personality, so we made it a good class project name! As you can tell, the images are not that clear but Miss Melissa has some better photos on her blog, as she came to the show. Everything was perfect and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. In the end, everything came together so nicely that I didn't want the night to be over. I miss all of my school friends and I wish them all of the best in the future!!

Sweater: Target
T-shirt: Smart Set
Shorts: H&M
Sandals: Spring (old)
Watch: Betsey Johnson
Bag: Kate Spade

Okay so I know I promised this post yesterday but I got a little bit caught up now that I'm officially graduated!!!!!!! (can you tell I'm excited?) Well anyways yesterday was my last day (hence the photo above drinking wine with Kim!) so we were all a little bit sad. It feels surreal that I'm finally done and I'm hoping all of my hard work really paid off. I will be posting photos in the next few days of my classes graduation fashion show, "Chromasia." Hope you all are looking forward to it. I know I am ;)
